Backups and restore
Scheduled backups keep your workspace safe. Restores replace the current workspace data.
Scheduled backups
- Choose a frequency (daily, weekly, monthly).
- The system keeps the latest 3 backups per workspace.
- Backups run on the hourly cron and email a snapshot link.
Manual exports
You can download JSON or CSV exports anytime from the Data Trust page.

Set daily backups -> next backup runs after the next cron check.
Step-by-step restore
- Open Settings -> Data Trust.
- Find the export in Export history.
- Click Restore and confirm the prompt.
- The workspace is replaced by the snapshot.
Restores cannot be merged. Keep a manual export for extra safety.
Use cases
- Large imports: capture a snapshot before the upload.
- Cleanup mistakes: roll back to a stable week.
- Audit trail: compare weekly snapshots for drift.
Troubleshooting
- Backup not running: confirm Scheduled backups is enabled.
- No email yet: wait for the hourly cron check.
- Restore takes long: large workspaces can take extra time.
